While "Fit For The King" encourages you to have a healthy and fit physical body, we all realize that these earthly bodies we live in do have an expiration date! The truth is that you are a soul temporarily living in a body, and sooner or later, your body will eventually die; what then?
The timeless Word of God teaches that the spiritual you, the real you, will live forever, and you will either live in the Presence of God (Heaven) or apart from Him (hell).
What determines your eternal destiny? Most people have the idea that if you are decent human being, if you try to help others, or live by some code of ethics, you'll hopefully be okay. The problem is, God says you can't achieve a place in Heaven because of good performance. God is absolutely perfect and righteous, and none of us is, so we can't earn our way into His Heaven.
God's Word teaches our sins separate us from God, and that's the bad news. Romans 3:23 says, "All have sinned and come shout of the glory of God", then a little later we're informed of the verdict for guilty sinners. "The wages of sin is death". Each of us deserves to be cut off from God because of our rebellion against Him.
But there's wonderful news! God loves us tremendously, in spite of our flaws and the messes we've made. He didn't want us to be separated from Him for eternity or in this life, so He sent His perfect Son Jesus Christ to earth, to take the punishment our sins deserved. God the righteous Judge of the universe couldn't just let our sins go unpunished, but here is what He could do. He could allow someone who wasn't guilty of sin to pinch hit for us and pay our sin debt, and that's precisely what Jesus was willing to do when He was dying on the cross.
The Bible says it like this; "For Christ died for sins once for all, the Righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God" (I Peter 3:18). Jesus was substituted into our place of guilt 2,000 years ago, and He was willing to "take the rap for us". What motivated Him? An incredible love for you!
Would you like to receive the gift of total forgiveness of your sins?
Would you like to know you can be in God's Heaven with Him forever and ever?
Then respond to Christ’s' offer by repenting. The word repents simply means "I change my mind". Would you change your mind about God? Would you agree that since He made you, He should have full control of your life? And then would you change your mind about your sin and yourself? Would you see your sin as God sees it, and be willing to turn away from sin and self-rule, and instead put Jesus in the driver's seat in your life 24-7?
If you can honestly say yes to these questions, and you want to open your heart to God, just tell Him so. You've got to be willing to love Him back with all of your heart, and give Him permanent first place in your life, but if you're willing to receive Him as your Master, He's willing to take you into His forever family.
Here's an awesome offer from God to you, and straight from the Bible; "For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).
Would you right now in your own words invite Jesus to forgive your sins and come into your life? Express that desire to Him in your own words, and mean it from your heart, and you will instantaneously be born again!
